A simple crew neck sweater with colour blocked sleeves. The Tri Tone Sweater features drop shoulders, wide sleeves, generous cuffs and a relaxed fit.

Worked from the top down, the back and front are knit flat with the use of short rows at the shoulders for the perfect fit. The panels are then joined at the underarms to continue the body in the round. Sleeves and neckline are picked up and knit in the round.

Fit & Yarn Details

Pictured with approx 30 cm / 12" of positive ease. Designed to be worn with 15-30 cm / 6-12" of positive ease. Sizes read as A (B, C) (D, E) (F, G).

Worked from the top down in 8 ply yarn OR 4 ply yarn held double with laceweight mohair. The sample was made using Wild Earth Yarns Eden 4ply (in colours: Pukeko, Daisy & Bracken) held double with Drops Kidsilk mohair (in colours: Navy Blue, Chalk & Toffee).

Needles: 4.5 mm (US7) and 3.5 mm (US4) circular needles with an 80 m / 32" cord. The sleeves are worked in the round using the magic loop method. If you prefer to use DPNs then you will also need these in each needle size above.

Gauge: 20 sts x 60 rows in stockinette stitch
